F.A.Q.'s
"What should we wear for our family portraits?" It is best to stick to simple, classic looks like denim, khakis, and solid colors. Too much detail or bold prints can distract from your portraits. Coordinating your outfits can make a dramatic difference in the look of your pictures. Choose a family of color and have everyone stick to it, rather than mixing pastels and darks. Think of it this way: if it doesn't go together in the laundry, it doesn't go together in pictures. "When should I have pictures taken of my baby?" If you are planning on newborn portraits, the first three weeks of life is best. During this time, babies still have that "fresh" look that you want to always remember. It is best to schedule your newborn session within three weeks of your due date. Newborn sessions can be done in the studio or in the privacy and comfort of your own home. Three, six, nine, and twelve months are optimal times for portraits through out the first year of life. Babies reach new milestones with each passing month. Around six months of age, most babies can sit up on there own, which makes it easy to get really cute shots. At nine months, they may be able to stand holding on to something for support. Beyond one year, consider an outdoor session, where your little one can run and explore. The more fun they have, the better pictures you will have. "When should I schedule my maternity session?" The optimal time is between 34-37 weeks of pregnancy. Please call to schedule your appointment at least 4 weeks ahead of time. |
